Best Amenities in A Mobile Home Community

Before moving to a mobile home community like Tustin village mobile home park looking at the amenities will always be on the list. The amenities in a lot of communities are often the biggest deciding factors for prospective tenants. So as a community owner or someone apart of a mobile home park owners association amenities needs to be taken seriously. So that’s why you start hearing about some crazy amenities some locations have to draw people onto the premises and today we are going to tell you about them.

The Basics

So on the lower tier of the spectrum, you will see communities with gated entrances and pet friendly environments. These are becoming more and more common because of the demand that people want to have animals or want that extra sense of security. Back in the ’90s and 2000’s a gated community and pet friendly areas were hard to find. Now if you do not have them you are way behind the curve and need to look into updating.

Pools

Yes, there have been pools in mobile home parks for a long time. But when we mean pools, we mean real pools. No above ground creations but the inground 10 ft pool with a diving board. Some communities are even known to have vast landscapes around their pools making them a unique area you don’t even see in hotels. Some are even known to have waterfalls and palm trees. Your standard pool is becoming more standard themselves in these communities but if you pick the right community your pool can be extravagant.

Landscapes and Community Centers

Communities try their best to look clean and presentable at all times. Then there are the communities who go above and beyond to have a gorgeous landscape. A lot of times those communities double down and have community centers that will blow your mind. You will have gorgeous trees draped in colorful leaves and flowers leading you to a community center with a brand new PlayStation just released with all the games. Then you will see gorgeous well lit drive up littered with plants and landscape leading you into a community center filled with 60” TVs and free popcorn. The combinations vary everywhere, but these communities are really stepping up.

Celebrities and Waterfront Views

Now, this is really a rare amenity. There are a handful of mobile home communities where you can be a few steps from the ocean with a movie star right next to you. Mobile home communities will capitalize on the people that live in them and to a lot of people that is an amazing amenity. Then if you have the chance to live next to the ocean that is a whole prize in itself.

How to Be A Good Mobile Home Neighbor

Moving into a new neighborhood can be a hard thing for people. You don’t know anyone, you don’t know how sociable everyone is, are their kids around, is it noisy? The list goes on and on and it brings up a lot of anxiety and stress to many. But the best way to overcome all that is when you get to the neighborhood be sure to be a good neighbor. If you don’t know how to do that let us help you figure it out.

Mind the Noise

No one likes loud neighbors. When it’s 7 pm on a Tuesday and you’re trying to wind down, no one wants to hear a ridiculous amount of noise, you will be instantly hated. To avoid that be aware of when you can be loud. If it is during the week, realize most people like it quiet when the sun is down. But if it’s a Friday it will be okay to be a bit loud after dark. Don’t cut your lawn at 6 am when everyone is usually still asleep or clean the hedges when the sun is rising. If you follow the social contract of being in the neighborhood you will be accepted by everyone.

Meet Your Neighbors

If you make yourself known to the community being apart of it will become a lot easier. You will also get a chance to learn what the ins and outs are. You’ll be able to figure out if the area is noisy if there are kids around, do people like to hold events, and everything that makes this neighborhood what it is. While you go around and do that make sure you are kind and are willing to help out your other neighbors. Don’t be afraid to ask to borrow things over let others borrow items, but also be sure to give everyone their space. By making yourself known you will feel more ingrained into the community while also gaining people who will watch your back and your belongings.

Take Care of Your Home

When moving into a neighborhood you are becoming a part of their image and you represent everyone who inhabits the area. So if your home looks trashed and not kept up with the area will suffer. You want more cool people to join the area and in order to do that keeping a uniformly clean neighborhood is necessary. Also, no one wants to see an uncut lawn or dirty front porch in their neighborhood so be sure not to be that person.

So whether you are living at a cheap mobile home lot or by the wealthiest mobile homes in San Diego you have to be mindful. So be clean, meet your neighbors and always be willing to help and your neighbors will never want you to move.

Some of The Best Pest Prevention Supplies

When it comes to protecting your mobile home from pests, whether it will be at The Grove Mobile Home park in Modesto, Ca or at Tri Palms Estates, there are many ways you can approach it. Besides staying clean and making sure food isn’t left out you can pest-proof your house by doing inspections. You can make sure there are no open gaps to the inside of your home. You can move all trash off the property by keeping the trash can outside and not in the garage. There are many of these tricks but sometimes it is not enough. Sometimes you need a bit more to help keep the pests away and today we are going to go over some of these items with you. Make sure the pest stays out.

When we talk about prevention, we mean the time before you know there is a problem. We are trying to help you not have to deal with pests as if they are already there but for you to never have that problem at all. So for this, we shall use repellants and go over which are the ones you should look for.

You may ask, “don’t we need to know what type of pest we have so you can get the right repellant?” I will answer yes you do! But you don’t need to have them in your house to know which repellents are best for your area. Every town, city and state usually knows what are the problem pests for their area. So if you need to find out which to look for and prepare for a quick google search will get you on your way.

Electromagnets

This may sound a little too sci-fi but electromagnetic repellers are some of the best pest repellents around. These repellents are not biased and work on the most common pests around the world. They work by sending an ultrasound out to a given range that perturbs the pest in the area. This will drive them out of their shelter and hopefully, keep them away. These machines usually come in three increasing settings and usually are inaudible. So no sounds and no smell making them virtually out of your mind and working to keep pests out of your house. Most of these units are said to take a few weeks for them to have their effects start for the surrounding pest so it is best to install as a preventative measure. This seems like a great solution but sometimes this may not be the option that works for you. So maybe the old school methods might help.

Chemical Sprays

This leads us to the next form of prevention that is used frequently. This method is more of an accurate solution to your problem and has many different ways of being applied to your house. Spray repellents are probably the most common form of repellant used around the world. Unlike electromagnetic repellers they can be used to target and get rid of specific pest infestations or used to prevent them. These are very common for companies to use in certain states because they can make their own formula which may or may not work better than the over the counter solution. These solutions are usually used when the problem is already abundant to eradicate and repel the pest, but still a good solution.

When trying to repel pest it is a combination of efforts coming together to keep the house protected. So keeping a clean house and having clean habits is just as important as finding the right repellent solution. The efforts of both will provide years of clean pest-free living!

How To Get Rid of Mobile Home Odor

Mobile homes don’t get created and pushed out the factory smelling bad. It’s very rare that your home, especially at Blue Carpet Mobile Homes, will smell awful. They come with a fresh smell that all new things come with, so that means the culprit is always the inhabitants. The way they live and decide to take care of the inside of the property is a big key. It can make any mobile home feel so uncomfortable and make you not want to be there. So today we are going to go over some common problems that cause bad smells and good ways to get them out for good.

Trash Cans

People really do underestimate the power a trash can has on the living environment. They are the ones that house all the garbage and things no one wants. This can be from old expired food, half-eaten food, cleaning byproducts, wiped up spills and more. You throw all those things in one area and wait about a week to take it out. This gives the smells time to combine and become even more powerful which is never fun for anyone who lives in the home. Not to mention people tend to forget about the garbage disposal which is basically another trash can. For these sources of waste disposal, you need to always be ready to take it out every couple of days so you don’t give the smells time to take root in your furniture and carpet. Then be sure to clean the inside of the trash can every once in a while because spills can get in there as well! Then to cap it off spray some disinfectant in the trash can itself to insure the odor gets eliminated. This process can be copied for your disposal. Make sure all the food left in the system is run through the pipes and out of the kitchen. Then really scrub around the sink and the drain entrance to get up all the left-behind mess. When you’re done be sure to toss a few lemon and orange peels down the disposal and run it to get that smell eliminated and radiating throughout the whole mobile home. Mobile Home Property Managers really appreciate and encourage their tenants to regularly take out and clean their trash cans for this reason.

Bathrooms

Have you ever walked into a bathroom and smelled a musty type of odor? Something that seemed like it was coming from your towels since the closer you got to them the worse it got? Then you may need to think about how you clean your bathroom every week. This smell comes from repeated use of towels that haven’t been washed frequently enough and don’t have much air flow getting to them. They trap the water and dirt from your hands and body when you dry your skin and cause the smell to come about. When that happens the longer you leave the smell the more it builds. That is also not the only smell that can build when in the bathroom as we all know. So be sure to clean your toilet tub and sink thoroughly at least once a week. Then change your towels as frequently as you clean your bathroom to ensure that freshness stays after the scrubbing.

Pro Tip: Before folding up your towels after the dryer is finished check them for 100% dryness. People think that since it went through one cycle the towels are totally dry but it is not always the case. If not totally dry that smell can begin to form while the towels are waiting for use in the closet.

We only got to hit on two topics this time around but know that mobile homes have many sources of bad smells. These were the two most popular so starting here will be a good jumping-off point to you acquiring a fresh-smelling mobile home. Is Living In A Mobile Home A Good Idea

When people are trying to pick where they want to live they always try to get the best deal possible. Find the best bargain on the biggest most bang for your buck house, but if you’re trying to find the best deal why does it have to be a house. Today we’re going to drive into why a mobile home might or might not be a smart choice. We’ll give you the facts and let you decide.

Right now housing is doing great! Neighborhoods are being built, homes are being bought by all different social classes and being sold at good rates. This is well and good and all but how long can it last? Can you trust that it will be like this forever? You can’t. You can always trust in other housing sources like apartments and townhomes but there goes your privacy. Then there are mobile homes, they have always stayed consistent in their prices since it does not count as a housing property. Renting a home may be a cheaper choice but you are essentially throwing money down a hole every month instead of owning the property and potentially having the asset appreciate. Then if you do choose the route of buying a home or an apartment as an asset you need to stay in tune with that market or you can be losing a lot of money in the long run. Then there are mobile homes where you do give up luxury and that type of community, but you gain the peace of mind of not worrying about losing money on an asset and you would have the flexibility of living in a mobile home.

When it comes to having a new property they usually always take some time. The average time it takes for a home to finish construction is around 7 months.  Most people who are buying a new home that is built ground-up knows this already and have accepted this fact. These builds usually come with some add on as you go and there is a chance complications can happen so there is a lot to it so if you’re looking for a fast new home this may not be for you. When you look towards a mobile home as an option the build time for a brand new one is significantly lower. Again, you do take a hit on quality in some aspects but you can get a brand new home in as little as 3 days.

Now for the eco-friendly home buyers out there, mobile homes are actually progressing faster than most homes. Your average mobile home now is being built with environmentally friendly options when it comes to all pieces of the house. They are now being built with better technology that is said to extend the life of modern mobile homes year after year. On the other hand, houses are starting to do the same especially with a lot of homes starting to push more towards being more reusable energy accessible and starting to use even more advanced parts.

There are pros and cons to every end when it comes to housing situations. Technology is moving so fast that every year living spaces are being built to be stronger, more energy-efficient, and being built at record speed. So when it comes to the question of is a mobile home a smart choice, I would say yes. That doesn’t mean it is the best choice by any stretch, but that question is all dependent on the buyer and their situation. Buying a mobile home is right for some and not for others just like buying a home, but mobile homes being a smart choice shouldn’t be in question anymore.

The Best and Worst Mobile Home Communities

In this day and age, every industry has a rank, so it’s obvious mobile home communities have them as well. While there are some great ones out there, not every place can be amazing so there are definitely some not so great ones. So let us highlight some good and bad and show you all an idea of the industry and its members.

Vista Del Monte

This is a very high ranked mobile home community that has taken root in California. The most we hear about this place is the amazing customer service that has been displayed consistently. Their service has been said to be very timely and the people being very genuine. They respond to all questions fast and with a great deal of knowledge on multiple subjects. It is located in a quiet area with features for both families and for single occupants.

Carson Harbor Village Mobile Home Park

This mobile home park may not be as ranked as high as the previous location, but it is still appreciated by many! While there are some complaints this is still regarded as a  solid place to live. They are known for their service with how kind and easy it is to communicate with their workers and managers. The biggest accolade they received is they are responsive to their criticism! They have a lot of negative reviews about updating the property and getting things fixed and you see the reviews are answered and people making updates to their reviews. This community cares about its people and tries hard to continue to bring quality service.

Covina Hills

This a mobile home community that is staying between 2 and 3 stars. This community is located in a nice area with a lot of different and diverse groups of families and solo occupants. But this community has a bad string of comments detailing the communication aspect of the management. It has been said that there has been zero communication at times when contacting managers. There have been others saying that they communicate with management, but a problem or issue remains to stay unresolved. This community has its share of positivity but the communication seems like an issue and what holds the community at the rating threshold it is in.

These communities mention are a good estimate of what it is like in the mobile homeworld. There are some downright awful communities and there are stellar communities, but those remain far and few between. So instead of showing those outliers, we would like to give you communities that are realistic options in your life.
